Avendus Structured Credit Fund is a sector agnostic fund focused on the performing credit space, providing structured credit solutions to high quality, mid market Indian companies across sectors with a focus on Healthcare, IT Services, Chemicals, and Specialized Manufacturing and Services.
It leverages the strengths of Avendus Group’s ecosystem, its deep domain knowledge across sectors, experience and its network to provide credit solutions to high performing businesses and entrepreneurs.
The first series of the Fund was launched in 2017 and has made nine investments to date out of which eight have completely prepaid within ~4 years of initial close.
Avendus Structured Credit Fund II is a Category II close ended investment fund with a target size of INR 500 crore with a greenshoe option of another INR 500 crore.
The fund is managed by an experienced investment team with a track record of disbursing INR 3000 Cr+ across 50+ transactions within 5 years across Avendus NBFC and the first structured credit fund.
The Fund’s investment objective is to generate higher risk adjusted returns through investments in debt instruments issued by Investee companies. The Fund will focus primarily on both operating and holding company financing opportunities and will invest in 10-12 secured transactions across capital structures in situations where need for customized and flexible capital is there or where broader market dislocation has created an opportunity to generate higher risk adjusted returns.
The fund shall invest in largely fixed IRR deals ranging between mid to high teens.
Avendus Finance (NBFC) will also invest along side with the fund.
The fund will leverage on Avendus group’s deep domain knowledge and draws operating efficiencies from its due diligence and risk management practices offering risk adjusted returns to investor.
