Harikesh heads the sales function at Avendus Spark's Institutional Equities Division. In addition to his role as Head of Sales, he continues to handle the largest primary domestic accounts. He also plays a major role in assisting the support teams, given his expertise across all departments. He has earlier covered the financial services and consumer sectors in the Investment Banking division at Spark. Harikesh has over 20 years of experience in credit, corporate finance advisory & equities. Prior to joining Spark, he was managing corporate credit and transaction banking relationships at HSBC and HDFC Bank. He holds a master’s in financial management. Under his leadership, Spark’s sales team was ranked as the best sales team in India in Asia Money Polls. Sales at Spark under him has evolved to being a more proactive platform focussed on providing in-depth and bespoke services to clients with an ability to cut out the noise.
