Akshay Tanna joined KKR India in 2023 as Partner & Head of India Private Equity. Prior to joining KKR, he spent more than 13 years with TPG and was most recently a Partner in its India office. Akshay led TPG’s Growth and Rise investment activities in consumer, technology, and financial services in India. Earlier in his career, he worked as an Investment Banking Associate in the Financial Institutions Group at Deutsche Bank, New York and Merrill Lynch, New York & London.

Akshay is a Bachelor of Science in Economics, Magna Cum Laude from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
