Avendus Finance, the credit solutions arm of Avendus Capital, today has announced the launch of its Category II Structured Credit Fund. The new proposed fund is already registered with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) as an Alternative Investment Fund. The target size is INR 250 crores + 250 crore Green shoe option with a minimum capital commitment of INR 1 crore. Avendus Structured Credit Fund will be managed by an expert team led by Sandeep Thapliyal, Managing Director & CEO – Avendus Finance Pvt Ltd and Nilesh Dedhi, Director – Avendus Finance Pvt Ltd.

The fund will invest in structured credit products to holding and operating companies. It will invest in instruments yielding mid teens returns and may look at participating in equity upside. The investment strategy is sector agnostic barring infrastructure. Some of the preferred sectors are Industrials, Healthcare and Consumer.
